| March 2010 | „FASZINATION Modellbau“ Karlsruhe / Germany from 25 till 28 March 2010 At our exhibition booth – located in Hall 3 booth # 3420 – we shall be presenting our entire current portfolio of manufactures. The focus will be on models of construction machinery. Following our presentation of the project study of the hydraulic excavator CAT 345 D LME at the fair in Sinsheim in 2009, we will now be able to show you the CAT 345 D LME as an R/C model at our booth in Karlsruhe after a development and production period of only 12 month. Likewise, you will also see in action our models CAT 966G II, CAT 740 and the Dump Truck’s “HP”, as a rigid truck and a truck tractor with semi trailer. Just like 2009, you will once again have the opportunity this year of satisfying your needs in our exhibition shop by e.g. using your EC-card or, of course, by rendering a cash payment. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to make payment with a credit card. | January 2010 | Hydraulic Excavator CAT 345 D LME Since some delays in delivery unfortunately occurred, we would now like to briefly provide you with some information on the latest status by means of some photographs. The unhardened die cast moulds have been reworked and will now be hardened. Subsequently, we shall begin with the manufacture of the individual parts. The assembly instructions are also being prepared. You are able to see the main component elements of the upper and lower vehicle sections on theimages below.
4 LEDs 3.3V 20mA 1600 mcd – Article # 800, Price: € 11.30 Super bright LEDs with approx. 200 mm long enamelled wires and enamelled soldering joints are immediately available. They can be fitted into any of our models. Example: see photograph Assembly: An exchange of a 3V bulb for these LEDs is possible at any time without requiring any series resistor. To exchange a 5V bulb, a 100 Ohm series resistor is necessary and is included in the package.

The decision has been taken. The hydraulic excavator CAT 345 D LME will be produced. We would like to thank all customer for the early orders they have placed – something which has contributed greatly to making this project feasible – and for the trust and confidence they have placed in us. It was already quite clear many weeks before expiry of the early order period that the model would be produced. After the final approval of the prototype by Caterpillar and some slight modifications, the green light was given for the manufacture of the casting dies and the stamping tools in the first week of June. This strengthens our view that we shall already be able to supply the kits in December 2009. Of course, this also applies to the orders we received after 31st May 2009 and for those that we are still expecting over the next few weeks. As is quite usual with us, this model will also be manufactured primarily out of die-cast aluminium and aluminium stamped parts. Naturally, the tracks will also be made from metal. WEDICO wins „Truck Modell Star 2009“ award Readers of the magazine “Truckmodell” have chosen the MAN TGX – “XLX” from WEDICO as the “model of the year”. | February 2009 | CAT 345 D – Hydraulic Excavator
WEDICO Project Study At the exhibition ‘Faszination Modellbau’ – from 12th to 15th March 2009 – we shall be presenting to the general public for the very first time the CAT 345 D Hydraulic Excavator as a rapid prototyping model. New dumper also available as a trailer and individual assembly kit The product lines that were already presented at the exhibition ‘Faszination Modellbau’ in Bremen 2008, the new assembly kits SCANIA CR19 and Peterbilt 359, will be extended From April 2009 the new dumper will also be available as a semi trailer kit with a new chassis and new hydraulic system. The chassis will be supplied with trailing lift axles as a standard to enable an optimum ground contact for the wheels. We can also supply from now on a dumper superstructure that fits to our driver cabs DAF XF105 SC, SCANIA Highline and Mercedes ACTROS for rigid trucks. Should you not wish to order a complete model, the assembly kits e.g. chassis, dumper superstructure, hydraulics, etc. can be ordered individually. Floating locking differentials now also available with independent axle
The floating WEDICO locking differentials are also available from now on with an additional floating axle system. This system has been especially adapted to fit the WEDICO differentials # 768 and # 769 and cannot, therefore, be supplied separately. New electrical system “LC” The electrical system “LC” provides you with the opportunity of not only activating the function for lights, blinkers and hazard lights but also, in addition, the option of triggering a hooter and a sound module. The BEC has a performance of max. 3A. The electrical system has a central PCB and a front and rear lighting board. This ensures simple fitting of the system. The light bulbs are connected directly to the lighting boards. All cable, plugs and bulbs required are supplied with the system. In addition, the electrical system has a speed controller that is geared to the WEDICO motors and is protected against overload and short circuit. The speed controller switches the reversing lights and can reduce to approx. 50 % speed with a jumper. The new electrical system “LC” is compatible with our complete assembly kits and in this area it will supersede our previous electrical systems for traction engines. Available from the beginning of April under the Art.-No. 2100 The appropriate electrical system for the trailer or towed section is connected via two jack plugs on the traction engine and enables the functions for lights, brake lights, blinkers and hazard lights. Available from the beginning of April under the Art.-No. 2101 Below, some remarks regarding existing products Battery box with compressed air tank # 896 Originally developed for the new MAN TGX model and available in a chrome-plated design, can now be supplied for the same price in the colour black. However, it is also possible to fit this to all other models with a ‘Profi’ chassis and side panelling. Blinker switch # 394 The blinker switch # 394 has been re-introduced into our product range. This will enable the bending light on the MAN TGX models to be switched on and off automatically.

| November 2008 | MAN TGX cabs „XLX“ and „XXL-V8“ The supply of the orders on hand will be effected in accordance with the receipt of such orders, and this at the end of November / beginning of December 2208 incl. the accessories ordered. New dump truck with professional chassis 8 x 8 At the exhibition “Faszination Modellbau in Bremen / Germany from 21st till 23rd November 2008, we shall be presenting our Complete kits for Peterbilt 359 # 3150 and SCANIA CR19 # 3151 with a new dump body, new chassis 8 x 8 and a new 12bar (174psi) hydraulic system. The powder coating options for the cabs will be in the colours white, yellow, red and blue and for the dump bodies in the colours with, red and silver-grey. The hydraulic system to lift and lower the dump body consists of a pump, tank, control valve block and cylinder and is driven with a 12-bar (174 psi) system. Exactly the same as is the case with our CAT models, the system is most convincing on account of its above-average performance.
Photos Peterbilt 359 day cab # 3150 Will the WEDICO product line be extended by a “Caterpillar” excavator? There has been a lot of speculation in recent month. Due to the large demand, we decided to occupy ourselves extensively with the theme of “excavators” and we came to the conclusion that the CAT 345 D model would be an outstanding addition to our product range. Our schedule for this is as follows: March / April 2009: Presentation of a rapid prototyping model at the exhibition at Sinsheim or Dortmund. At this point in time, we shall also be able to indicate a sales price and commence with upfront sales. December 2009: Delivery of the preordered models. As soon as we have any new details on this theme, we shall inform you either in our Newsletter or on this website. Trailing axle system with lift Due to the very high demand, we have once again included the trailing axle systems # 741 for 3-axle tractors and # 742 for 3-axle semi trailers in our range of manufactures. These articles will once again be available from end of January 2009. New price list as of 1st January 2009 After having been able to hold our prices constant for the last five years, we now have no alternative but to adapt our prices from 1st January 2009 due to the increased costs of primary material in recent years. Locking metal differential for front- and rear axle
The successful operation of the metal differential, including lock system, gave us the inspiration, to extend the range of this system in the reduction ratio of 3:1 and 2:1. Differentials, part nos. 329 and 330 are not longer available.
